On Tuesday 9th November we arrived at the finish of our cross Australia cycle – two and a half months since starting at Perth.
4,818 kilometres across an amazing country with wonderfully friendly people all along the way.
Thanks Australia.

We’ve copied you to Rohloff twitter feed. Would be a good Rohloff Tales example (their big promo book of bike tours). Angelo of course had three such equipped solo Nazcas on his Canadian tour so they could feature as well. Enjoying your beer review!
Hi Cliffandsusan, congratulations, and must say a little envious. Never thought of continuing to Brisbane or even as far as Cairns? You are both retired after all. Hopefully I’ll see you before we leave for North Cape. By the way did you only drink beer down under? What about the great wine they have? Enjoy a deserved rest and some opera. Angelo
Hi Angelo. Thanks for following. It was a though to continue up the east coast but we have decided to go to New Zealand instead. The bike will be in temporary storage in Sydney until we return. Yes we had some great wine particularly from the areas we cycled through. Yes hopefully catch up with you before your North Cale trip. Best wishes. Clif and Susan
Well done, you guys. Fantastic effort! Can’t wait to see you when you get back and learn even more about your adventures! Best Wishes. Brian & Isla xx
Thanks Brian and Isla. Will be in touch and we can arrange the night out we missed before we went away x
Well done Clif and Susan. Will be tagging a few favourite images in Flickr. Will miss the updates – though always a worry when we sold you the bike (!)
A real voyage and another continent covered. Although Tasmania is nice I hear!
Best wishes from Irene too.
Thanks David and Irene. I was always confident the bike would make it. When it coped with some ridiculously bad potholes in Canada I knew it was built to last.
love the images.xx
Thanks Margaret x
Well done. Now….. Do hurry back , we had our first snow last night and would not want you to miss that!!!!!!☃
Brilliant achievement, well done both. Clif, your now making me look fat! Hope to see you both at Xmas to get the detail on the trip.
Thanks Iain. See you at Xmas. Good luck with the move. I’m sure it will be great.
Congratulations – have a great rest now and enjoy Sydney. What an achievement, well done. Willie
Thanks Willie. Hopefully catch up in the new year.
